Learn to take great photos

This tutorial was made with Nikon View which is software that is included with every Nikon DSLR. You can also download it from Nikon's website for free. This is not a substitute for image editing software but it does work for resizing.

Step 1
Open Nikon View and click on the folder containing your images. Click on the thumbnail of the photo you want to resize and go to the Tools menu. Choose "Copy and resize as JPEG file(s)". Do not double click on the photo so that it opens in its own window.

Step 2
A little window will open up with the options. Set your options as shown. We suggest creating a folder on your desktop to save the resized photos in to make sure you don't overwrite your originals and to help you locate your resized images. Call your folder something logical like "web photos" for example.
