HOW TO RESIZE A PHOTO FOR THE WEB IN PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS
This tutorial was made with Photoshop Elements 7. There is a 30 day free trial available from Adobe. Check your Costco for good deals on this software.
Step 1
Open your image in the Editor. Go to the Image menu then Resize then Image Size
Step 2
A little window will open up with the current dimensions of your photo. Make sure Constrain Proportions and Resample Image are checked.
Step 3
First, change the Resolution to 72 then change the largest dimension to 800 and click OK.
Step 4
Next you will save a copy of your resized photo. Go to File then Save As.
Step 5
The Jpeg Options window will open up and you can select the Quality. Go for Quality 8 or 10 and click OK.
